We are all grateful to Coral Gables’ student volunteers for stepping forward to provide much needed help to people with developmental disabilities. We also appreciate their continued help in getting the word out to fellow Coral Gables students about Sunrise’s on-going beautification project opportunities. We look forward to working with PAL and other Miami-Dade students again in the near future! Check out their fantastic work and GREAT JOB TEAM CB-PAL!!

STAR Awards recognize people with developmental disabilities who are “Striving to Achieve Real Success.” On March 7, 2012, Sunrise’s own Camille Brant was recognized as District 11 “STAR” by APD (Florida’s Agency for Persons with Disabilities.)
The ChangingAging Blogstream is excited to welcome it’s newest member and Blogstream contributor, Sunrise Communities, Inc., a Miami-based nonprofit serving the needs of people with developmental disabilities from Florida to Connecticut. By embracing the use of social media and launching a new blog, Sunrise hopes to provide increased community engagement for self-advocates and activists and provide accurate, best-practice information on developmental and acquired disabilities.
