In an Aging Literacy first, Nate and Dr. Bill are joined by Sara McKee, founder of Evermore, who was in town from the UK!

The three sit down for a conversation about loneliness, aging and the ever changing community and cultural structure of our times. Sara presents and discusses a model of interdependence that is centered around people and well being, instead of just cost.

You may even learn a new way to use the word bonus.

This is part 1 of a 2 part conversation with Sara, stay tuned for part 2!

    On the subject of lonelyness:

We really need to talk about the Assisted Mobility Community.

Loss or compromise of mobility will eventually be part and parcel of later life. Mobility is central to the factor of isolation, therefore lonelyness. Social activities will be circumscribed if restricted to human muscle power. This factor must be integrated into the elder community. In my view it is a necessity for the Minka community.

Old Gramps! He STILL walks. Ten miles a day. With arthritis. And diabetes.
