Last Friday, Dr. Bill Thomas put out an urgent request to the ChangingAging community to help save the Kickstarter fundraising campaign for the documentary film “Alive Inside: A Story of Music & Memory.” The campaign was in danger of losing all its pledged funding if it didn’t raise an additional $3,000 by Monday to meet the $50,000 Kickstarter goal.
We spread the word on the blog and Facebook and Twitter. Bill told me that if the goal wasn’t met by Monday, we would do a rare email blast to our fans. Instead, just a few hours later, we got the word from director Michael Rossato-Bennett that the donations poured in and they had exceeded their goal.
We’re thrilled that “Alive Inside” met it’s goal and will be able to finish production of the groundbreaking film. If you happen to be attending The Pioneer Network Annual Meeting in Jacksonville, Florida, next week, I have more cool news — “Alive Inside” will be screened at the conference in an exclusive preview for the culture change world. Check it out.
