I can’t tell you how excited I am for the official paperback release of my newest novel Tribes of Eden on April 2, 2012. Nearly eight years in the making, this book is inspired by and dedicated to the REAL tribes of eden — thousands and thousands of people around the globe who make up The Eden Alternative and broader culture change community.
I have dedicated 100 percent of the proceeds from Tribes of Eden to The Eden Alternative and nothing would give me more pleasure than to celebrate the launch of this book with the Eden world. That’s why I’m inviting you to join me on Wednesday, April 4 at 3 p.m. EST for an exclusive Tribes of Eden Virtual Book Launch Party for The Eden Alternative community.
Join me via webinar for a reading from Tribes of Eden, a special insiders look at the real people and places behind the story and a Q&A session with the author. Every registered Eden Alternative home who signs up will receive an autographed copy of Tribes of Eden to give away at the event. Eden Members can register here. If possible, we will also broadcast the Virtual Book Launch Party via streaming video, so stay tuned for updates.
Tribes of Eden represents my best effort to translate the passion and spirit of The Eden Alternative into a piece of popular fiction that has the potential to reach millions of people. The ultimate success of this movement depends on getting our message out to the world at large. With your help, we can make Tribes of Eden a bestseller.
Tribes is already available for pre-order on Amazon.com, but I’m asking fans to wait until the launch week and help us catapult Tribes into bestseller status by organizing mass purchases on Amazon. It can take fewer than a couple hundred orders in an hour to place a book in the Top 10. That status will help put Tribes on the radar and reach millions of new eyes.
If you plan on buying the paperback, please join our Amazon Bestseller Campaign by clicking here and pledging to place your order at noon during the launch week. Simply pick a day to pledge your order and we will send you an email reminder.
Number one with a bullet, as Casey Kasem used to say. A reference to media tracking of bestsellers and how quickly they rise (the bullet next to an entry on the charts to show it is a new/fast rising seller on those charts). Nice to see a word normally associated with violence used in a much more productive way. “Gimme Back My Bullets,” might not yet be appropriate here (Lynard Skynard wrote this song when their sales started dropping off years ago), but maybe this is just the first of many bullets to come.
I guess I’m a musical state of mind today, but I’m most definitely on board for pushing great media to the top. Onward AND upward then…
