The Roman religion had a large number of gods and only a few of the them became well known enough for us to remember their names today.
One of the ones we do take care to remember was the god of gates— Janus.
We have a month named after Janus and tonight is his/her big holiday.
When the Romans made pictures of Janus he was always shown having two faces, one facing back and one facing forward.
I mention this because I am feeling that awkward end of year sensation, (One year is done and another just been) 2011 was a good year for Changingaging.org and I think 2012 is going to be even better.
The big news is that my most recent novel, “Tribes of Eden” is out as an ebook and will be out as a paper back in early 2012.
So, as we all plunge into the new year let’s remember the wisdom of the “god of gates” we can and we should look back and look forward— at the same time.
