The Purpose Prize, now in its fifth year, awards $100,000 to five people over age 60 who are changing the world for the better. The deadline for 2011 submissions is midnight March 31 so don’t wait to nominate anyone you know who is spending the second half of life creating new ways to solve tough social problems.
The prize was created by Civic Ventures to showcase the value of experience and wisdom and to disprove notions that innovation is the province of the young. To nominate someone you need only write a 250-500 word inspiring story describing the nominee’s work. Don’t wait, make your nomination here: http://www.encore.org/prize/nominate
H/T to GracefulAging.com for reminding us of the deadline.
