The Telegraph reports that actress Dame Harriet Walter has embraced age, in fact she delights in chronicling the changes in her face as the years tick by.
Her new book Facing It glorifies the aging process. Walter exhorts people to continue to grow and try new things.
At age 60, she is trying something new–she’ll be getting married for the first time.
Walter eschews the aritifical aporoach to looking young, quoting a description from The School for Scandal of the character Mrs. Evergreen, likened to “a mended statue…the head is modern though the trunk’s antique.”
