Lori LaBey announces the debut of Alzheimer’s Speaks Radio, a new venue giving voice to people living with memory loss and “empowering them to live purpose filled lives. Our goal is to raise awareness, give hope, and share the real everyday life.”
A 15-minute introductory audio clip can be found at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/alzheimersspeaks/2011/06/06/test-intro. Lori talks about her own journey in caring for her mother and her desire to share all that her mother taught her during these years.
The first live show will be this Friday, June 10th, at 10 AM CDT. Her guest will be Rick Phelps, founder of Memory People. Rick has been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s and will share his experiences on the show.
I hope this will grow to become another potent voice celebrating those who have much to teach us about living positively with forgetfulness.
