If you missed tonight’s memorial service for the victim’s of Tuscon’s mass shooting I highly recommend you watch a recording of the service on CSPAN or read the President’s remarks. It honored the fallen and provided much needed hope and uplifting for the victims still fighting to recover. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Rep. Giffords and all the victims and their families.
But we especially want to call attention to elderblogger Ashleigh Burrow, who blogs at the Burrow on Blogspot. Ashleigh went to the supermarket specifically to meet Rep. Giffords and was shaking hands with her when they were both gunned down. Ashleigh’s daughter posted an update on her mother’s recovery on her blog, calling her “the toughest broad I’ve ever met.” Please visit her blog and post a comment of support for Ashleigh’s full and rapid recovery. Thank you to Ronni Bennett at TGB for alerting us to Ashleigh.
