Vienna – the Eden Institute in Vienna (www.eden-institut.net) is
Almost ten years implementing Eden in Europe has brought us so
Many experiences and so much knowledge we need to share. So we
founded the Eden-Institute, offering consulting, training, education and
research in the area of care in old age. It will be the centre point of Eden in
Europe and will also serve as a think-tank on culture change and care in
old age, from the Eden philosophy all the way to Eden at home and elder
friendly cities and much more.
The Eden Europe coordinators are our advisory panel and instead
of a scientific panel we have an Elder advisory panel where we asked
people over 70 years of age to support us with their knowledge, connections,
wisdom and life experience.
We have a facebook group (Eden Alternative Insitut Wien) and
even if the institute website is in German, we do speak English and invite
you to visit us if you come to Vienna.
This weekend UK coordinators June Burgess and Paul Bailey, the
Danish coordinators Aase Porsmose and Karin Dahl, European Coordinator
Christa Monkhouse and Eden Institute education leader Petra Kroeni met
in Vienna for an intensive three day Eden at home workshop. In three languages we managed to
be taught, to learn, to clarify meaning and to advance our knowledge in order to advance Eden in Europe. We will add some pictures to this blog soon.
And by the way, if you know some philantropists who would like
to change the world together with us, let them know where we are.
