Step One: Come up with a great idea for making a positive impact.
Step Two: Apply for a Pepsi Refresh Project grant, which awards $250,000 to two great ideas per month.
Step Three: Get your friends to vote for your idea – the idea with the most votes wins.
That’s where social networking comes into play. The idea that connects and inspires the broadest number of people wins. How many “friends” do you have in your social networks? How many friends do your friends have? It doesn’t take very many degrees of separation to tap into a massive social network.
As it happens, ChangingAging.org already has a horse in this race — our friends at the Eden Alternative entered the idea to transform five nursing homes in PA, MT, MI and TN. They are currently ranked 264 out of over 1,000 ideas. Not bad. But we can do better.
The culture change movement is passion driven. You wouldn’t be involved if you weren’t inspired to make a difference. And that inspiration connects you to a massive network of thousands of other individuals who share your passion. And social networking gives us the power to tap into that massive network.
We can win this grant for the Eden Alternative. Vote today (and every day until Nov. 31) here:
