Attention ChangingAging readers — Over the coming weeks you will see some updates to ChangingAging.org as we prepare for a site redesign. We’ll be testing some cool new features to enhance the sociability and readability of the site. We sincerely apologize if these tests result in any disruption or slow load times. We greatly appreciate your feedback and will depend on you, our readers, to help guide us through the redesign. Continue reading to learn more about some of the new features, such as
The Wibiya Toolbar
Wibiya is a service that allows you to create a custom web toolbar for your blog that integrates the most popular social networking services. You’ll see it at the bottom of any page on ChangingAging.org. Currently, you can use Wibiya to Tweet our posts, “Like” them on Facebook, visit our Facebook Fan Page and YouTube channel, and connect with Dr. Thomas on LinkedIn.
Wibiya also has a live chat feature that allows users to sign-in to chat using their existing accounts, such as Facebook, Myspace or Yahoo. If you have any questions about Wibiya, or other features on the site, you can usually find me logged-in to chat.
We’ve upgraded our comments box using Echo Comments, a new commenting system optimized for social networking. Echo allows readers to connect to ChangingAging using their existing profiles from popular social networks. This makes it easier to share our content with your friends across several social networks at once. Echo also allows multimedia uploads, such as HTML, photos and videos for a richer conversation.
Please give it a try and let us know what you think. Don’t forget to sign-up to “Follow” future comments made in response to yours or the original blog post.
