Each Tuesday for the next 12 weeks I will be posting a song from the CD along with commentary about the song and the process we used to arrange the tune for our voices and instruments. ![]() | Hey Let’s Age By Dr. Bill Thomas Yummy! I got a real live anti-ager to react to the idea that one day follows another. Kevin Perrott is the CEO of AgeNet, an organization that aspires to conquering normal human aging. He sounds like a really nice guy, passionate about living but in denial of aging. Want to know what I think? |

![]() | An Antidote to Ageism By Dr. Bill Thomas I seem to be running into quite a few anti-agers who are not, to put it mildly, on board with my ideas about valuing age and aging. I was thinking about how to respond to their point of view when I came across this incredible snapshot of one incredibly tiny slice of our universe and it occurred to me that on this scale the entire history of humanity represents a tiny blip. And our lifespan? An infinitesimally small flicker. To me, the key is not to make our flicker of life last a teensy bit longer — the key is to make it burn brighter. What do you think? |

![]() | Getting Connected By Dr. Bill Thomas Large media outlets are, unfortunately, like large long-term care institutions. They prosper by standardizing their product and that standardization is lethal to voices and viewpoints outside of the accepted bounds of discourse. This is why the magazine racks are stuffed with publications that cater to America’s bias against aging. The good news is that those of us who share a pro-aging bias, those of us who believe in a newer, better, happier and more fulfilling Elderhood live in a time when fantastic new communication tools are available to us. Like this. |
