Hopefully this is just a bizarre, isolated incident, but having a meth lab explosion in a nursing home resident’s room is pretty shocking:
One man died and six people were hurt, including two suspects, when a homemade methamphetamine lab exploded inside a nursing home in Ashtabula, Ohio, authorities say.
If you’ve ever seen the hit TV show Breaking Bad you may be wondering how it would be possible to setup a drug production lab even in the worst nursing home. Sadly, meth production has become so easy that rank amateurs can cook up small batches in a “pop bottle, shake-and-bake lab,” using household chemicals and over-the-counter allergy medicine.
“No comment” from the nursing home and there’s not much more to the story, but you can read it here.
H/T to Wendy Vaughn for catching this!
