One of the first sites shared with me in response to yesterday’s blog post about the top Alzheimer’s blogs is an amazing video blog created by Rick Phelps.
Rick is a person living with EOAD (Early-Onset Alzheimer Disease). Instead of fading away with this disease Rick has done something different.
Rick has decided to make a video a day to see how this disease effects him and help bring EOAD and Alzheimer’s awareness and education to people.
Follow Rick at his new website: http://www.livingwithalzheimers2011.com/
Rick also founded the Facebook Group Memory People. Alzheimer’s Speaks Blogger Lori La Bey explains who it’s for and how to join:
Memory People™ is a Facebook group founded by Rick Phelps, and created to bring real-time support to those touched by these diseases.
At Memory People™, you will find care and support in a comfortable and safe environment where patients, caregivers, and all involved come together to share our stories, support each other, and bring awareness to these diseases.
If you’re not already, you will need to have a Facebook account. From your home page, type “Memory People™ ” into the search bar. You then click on Memory People™, and you will be taken to our home page where you can read about us. Then, just click on the “Join Group” button and one of our Administrators will add you.
