New ChangingAging subscriber Mark Elliott posted a comment describing graduate research he is pursuing investigating the effect children have on the cognitive state of people living with Alzheimer’s. This sounds very exciting — Any suggestions for Mark? I’ll try to get Dr. Al Power and Dr. Richard Taylor to respond. Please share your thoughts below and email Mark directly.
I am an adjunct faculty member of the University of Phoenix in San Antonio, Texas and a former nursing home administrator who embraced the Eden Alternative a decade ago. Now, as a college faculty member, I am conducting research on the effect children have on the cognitive state of people living with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer’s. I am seeking stories from the field of eldercare where children have changed lives. This will hopefully become my doctoral dissertation. If you have stories to share, please email markelliottmillerATymailDOTcom. Thank you. – Mark Elliott Miller, MPH
