As Westerners, we’re not conditioned to be deep listeners. It takes commitment to lead by example to shift our cultural tendency to speak first and listen later.
Kingston Nursing Center in Conway, South Carolina is having a great time honoring National Scrabble Day. The team thought it would be fun to honor National Scrabble Day and the hot new game “Words with Friends” together. The Administrative Secretary and the Enrichment Team worked together to create this amazing interactive bulletin board. The idea [...]

Now that the kids are back in school and their homework is starting, we’ve got some news about a book you might like to read yourself. The field of Positive Psychology – with its emphasis on creating a meaningful, healthy life – is especially important…
I remember reading once that the Ancient Celtic prescription for physical and emotional healing was “laughter, sorrow, and rest.” (If you know where I heard this, please let me know and I’ll give proper attribution!) This weekend I was reminded of this great advice when I had an opportunity to hear the Celtic band, “Cherish the Ladies,” [...]

You think of getting out the toolkit every time you feel that wobble, but you just haven’t done it yet. There is a little voice [...]
