ChangingAging friends and readers — Dr. Bill Thomas asked me to share his Facebook status update on the blog to let everyone know that his wife and co-founder of The Eden Alternative, Jude Meyers Thomas, has undergone emergency surgery and is now in stable condition. Thanks so much for all your well wishes and thoughts of healing:

Dr. Bill Thomas Friends, Jude had emergency surgery on Saturday to remove her appendix. I want to let everyone know she is now stable and the prognosis is good. She will be in the hospital in Ithaca until Thursday if all goes well. Please continue to send thoughts of healing and thanksgiving this week.
