During my stay in London last month I was fortunate enough to be invited to play a game of cricket.
As a red blooded Yankees fan I have my doubts about cricket but as the saying goes “when in Rome do as the English do.” Who could possibly turn down the chance to sit in a field for four hours drinking beer and heckling batters?
The game I played was the speedy version — it is worth noting that the pros can play for days on end.
A cricket field is a large circle with two wickets in the center which are
about 66 ft apart. This area allows for maximum standing around room. I am sorry to say I would only misinform you if I were to explain the rules,
but if you would like to know more about the game click here.
To make the game very English it is performed on a foggy, sometimes rainy
day. To be honest, I cant think of a better way to relax on a Saturday
