There is an immediate and pressing need for education around the issue of culture transformation in aging services. There is also extraordinary pressure on training and travel budgets.
Over the past several years I have been able to speak to a wide variety of agencies, organizations, facilities and educational groups about the future of aging in America. Whenever I get the chance, I challenge conventional thinking about aging and caring for elders. The most important and common follow-up questions I receive deal with the difficultly of staying engaged in the process of change over the long-term. There is an immediate and pressing need for ongoing education around the issue of culture transformation in aging services. There is also extraordinary pressure on training and travel budgets.
I’ve been working to respond to both of these issues.
After a careful review of the technology, ease of use issues and cost, I have decided to launch a 12-month online video education series that will begin webcasting in the fall 2010. It is specifically designed for people and organizations seeking to maximize the opportunities presented by the new culture of aging.
The series will help the people and organizations that enroll build the foundation for transformative culture change, innovation and exploration. Participants will interact with me via streaming video.
• The need to travel is eliminated.
• No special equipment is required.
• There will be opportunities to ask questions and respond to polls about the content and delivery of the material.
In bimonthly sessions spanning 24 hours of webcast video, I will share sensible, proven methods and tactics to help facilities around the country create cultures, which are based on the emerging developmental, person-centered approach to the experience of aging. All you’ll need is a broadband Internet connection and web browser.

Bill, You’ve done it — escaped the bounds of time and place to amplify your vision even more. It’s so important, and wonderful to hear that there is such a thirst for concrete structures that will support and allow for a fully realized elderhood — from basic, common sense health care to “everday transcendence.”
